AW Barford

JT Norwich - We need the hospital to be central for visiting etc. not in Colney.

M & VD Dereham - How do we get to hospital from the country?

Mr & Mrs B Diss

TP - Need it for easy use.

MS - Ease of access for visitors and patients ie the customers and those who pay for the service. Patients recover if they have visitors.

AR

RT - Needed, very important. I am programmed in at the hospital.

HML - Centrally placed for regular visiting.

WA Norwich - Because Mum will lose her job.

FM Norwich - Unnecessary travel involved causing problems for regular users such as the elderly chronically sick.

JE Norwich - Need to keep central for access plus loss of jobs.

PC Spixworth - Keep it central for ease of access for patients, visitors etc. Colney would be difficult, no easy transport.

SG Norwich - The present hospital is in the correct place. Please do not move it.

?? Norwich - The need to keep hospital central is greater than the need for a smaller one.

MF Hellesdon - The current hospital site gives good access to all. Why pay so much for a new site when there is a hospital already in Norwich.

PD Sprowston - Take trade from the city.

SF East Harling - Leave well alone, keep it where it is.

JW Norwich - Thousands of journeys are made to a hospital. We are meant to be cutting down on the use of cars, not increasing it.

BT Norwich - It will be far too expensive to travel to Colney Lane. Two bus journeys, for elderly people waiting for busses in cold weather will be too much.

NT Norwich - Be too far for a lot of people to travel, and too expensive for people with no transport.

RL Norwich - The hospital is for people, so the people should have a say. Keep it in Norwich.

JR Plymouth - Keep the hospital where it is as it is convenient for the people of Norwich.

JJ Norwich - More convenient to keep in the city for everyone.

CAN Norwich - Keep the hospital in Norwich.

LP Norwich - Hospital is needed close to city centre for easy access.

LC Tasburgh - The obvious place is in the city.

WE & D P

RFG - Keep the hospital in the city.

? Norwich - Never leave the city.

A Thurton - Difficult to travel outside city.

RB - Keep hospital accessible to non car drivers.

JB Norwich - We must keep the hospital in the city centre, where everyone has access to it.

BMS Norwich - I have to visit the hospital 3-6 weeks. I cannot understand spending money on the hospitals then wanting to build a new one. What a waste of money.

AM Norwich - Something to think about: Colney = traffic = asthma = more sickness. What sort of hospital is it that actually generates illness and an unhealthy environment. South Norfolk D.C planners = you don't deserve to be in office.

PG Norwich - Stay as it is. Keep our hospital.

EEP - Norwich for hospital only. No Colney if you please.

SAB - NO TO COLNEY, the centre of Norwich is dieing, it is being killed off by our planners who don't know what to do with the centre due to lack of inspired leadership. Green field sites are an easy option to enable developers to make big profits at the expense of the community who have to pay for it in the end. Keep our hospital in the city centre.

ICDW Hardwick - Too much money for fewer beds.

SG Attleborough - Even if you move out of the city how much car parking will there be? It is not a very big site really is it? Keep it central.

RD Ipswich - Keep it central to the city. Why move it anyway? The Colney site is 3 - 4 miles out of town. Wondering about me in Ipswich? I have lived in Norwich from 72-76.

GT Norwich - The Michael Innes plan looks very logical and practical. How can the wishes of the local people be ignored. We should have a local referendum.

DB Norwich - I think it will put lives at risk being out so far and why not spend the money on the old hospital. NOT just for the MPs but for the people of Norwich.

DR East Harling - I don't have any complaint with the old hospital. Why change it? Just sort out underground parking.

C & VW Sprowston - Stay in the city where it belongs.

TT Norwich - It would be a terrible loss to the city.

PM Norwich - The proposed new hospital would be too far to go plus the hospital now is OK.

RJ & DC Hellesdon - Keep hospital in Norwich.

SMJ Norwich - I had a spell at the N&N last year. It was invaluable for family & friends to be able to get there easily and "pop to the shops" for me. Don't make our health service elitist ie for those with car transport.

UC Norwich - Keep it in the city and you 2 MPs keep your pre-election promises. It was part of your manifesto.

RP Norwich - Cost and much easier for visitors.

PW Norwich - Smaller hospitals cannot cope when increase in admissions rise (emergency flu, accidents etc.).

MS Norwich - Keep it where it is.

HM Norwich - Keep it where it is - (if the car park costs could be reduced!!).

CM - Only sensible.

BG - Keep it where it is.

SH - Keep the hospital in the city! Don't destroy another meadow, another tree, more wildlife habitat!

WH Norwich - I suppose you want the hospital out of the city are not handicapped, ie have use of all your joints eg hips, back etc. Can you get on a bus, use a push-bike. Keep the hospital where it is, this way you will cut down on expensive hospital transport.

CW Norwich - Keep the life of the city in the city!

SV Norwich - I'm pleased to be living car free and intend to remain so. Public facilities as important as hospitals must be kept in the city centre where public transportation is frequent and relatively convenient. Keep the N&N!

LLS Norwich - To enable health care to be accessible to all of the community. The N&N should be expanded, care should remain in Norwich city centre.

MS - Please keep the N&N hospital where it is, will save money on developing new site.

RB Norwich - Leave where it is.

EMS Wymondham - Keep it where it is.

LF Norwich - Norwich needs it in the heart of the city.

SH - Keep it where it is.

CL Norwich

JR Norwich - Keep it in the city.

? - Leave it in the city centre.

CL Norwich - It is obviously better - economically, socially and medically (More ?) and vastly better for Norwich.

DMP - Keep it where it is. Environmentally N&N should stay where it is. Car = pollution = more illnesses!!

ER - Keep it where it is please.

LRS Sprowston - Don't move it!

GWK Norwich - Keep the hospital where it is needed. We don't all drive.

VW Blofield - A move will damage the city of Norwich.

SC Norwich - Keep N&N hospital on existing site, spend the extra money saved on extra facilities.

FA Thorpe

MW Norwich - I ask who will benefit from the move, certainly not the patients with only half the beds on offer?

MW Norwich

SB Norwich - Build on old site.

EWB Newton Flotman - Keep the old site.

JDB - With our road system how do people get to Colney in a hurry from North Norfolk?

DWS Diss - I live in Diss.

HH & JH Norwich - It is common sense to keep the N&N.

FW Norwich - The N&N should be expanded on the existing site. How can an 800 bed hospital at Colney replace both the N&N and the West Norwich hospitals? Also what about the building going on at our existing hospitals, will that be more NHS money wasted?

CC Norwich - No transport, can't drive and unemployed. Also what are people to do when buses have stopped running at night times?

MC Norwich - Should be kept in the city not out in the countryside. Inconvenient for most people.

Mr & Mrs W North Walsham - No transport. Don't drive.

Mr & Mrs G Norwich - Should be in the city not at the back of beyond. Keep our city hospital and if necessary extend to vacant nearby plant eg Nestlé's old site.

Mrs S Catton - I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't want to keep the hospital in the city. What are the planners thinking of?

RM Norwich - Keep the hospital in the city centre where it is accessible to everyone.

LH Norwich - Build new hospital with good bus service - will cost less to run than old one and will be modern purpose built and give lots of people jobs building it!

NG Norwich - Keep the hospital in the city.

KG - No transport, can't drive, can't afford taxis!

RP - Why destroy beautiful countryside and cause even more traffic on the roads. Leave the hospital in the city.

HF Norwich - I think the Colney site is best for Norwich.

RC Norwich - Keep the hospital in the city where the majority of the people without their own transport live. The Colney deal stinks of the corruption "New Labour" has vowed to stamp out.

Mr & Mrs D Costessey - Why rip up whole countryside? Why waste huge investment made at N&N by starting again from scratch? More coming and going in and out of the city. Extend across to the old Nestlé's site. With underground parking.

LB Norwich

NR Norwich

Mr & Mrs GD North Walsham - They should improve the hospital as it is without wasting any more money, where it is now there are plenty of ways of getting to the hospital. You try getting an ambulance or transport from the coast through Norwich to Colney!

LA Norwich - Leave it in the city centre it is convenient for buses etc.. I've just had my second baby there and it is central for everyone.

JC Norwich - Keep the N&N in the city centre.

? Norwich - 1) Ex? costs high to city.
2) Transport problems.
3) City revitalisation.
Why should we pay for consultants to be close to their private incomes at BUPA hospital? No thought for patients and visitors.

Family C Norwich - Relocating the hospital will be damaging the city of Norwich. Lives will be put at risk, keep it where it is for the sake of the people.

CA & GPN Norwich

Mr & Mrs F Norwich - This hospital site will be a worry if you do not drive also for the elderly.

LS Norwich - Living in the city we need a hospital where we can get to easily.
