KH Norwich - How are you supposed to get to Colney easily on public transport? It is much better in the city centre if only for emergencies going to casualty.

RS - With the expected increase in population in Norfolk in the next 50 years, Norwich should be expecting 2 HOSPITALS in the are to serve the populace properly. One hospital in place of two N&N & West Norwich is inadequate and shows a total lack of long term planning. Colney is not well served by any infrastructure ie transport and will create more problems for those without transport.

Anon - Why waste more money than it would take to pay to refurbish the current hospital?

Anon - Rethink City Council about the cost of this mad mess.

Anon - Two labour MPs have betrayed us already!

Anon - Re "Hold Hands" 1,000 people stand in pouring rain so many concerns.

JM - Please keep the easy visiting access in Norwich.

Anon - Please keep the N&N in the city.

HR - Keep the N&N in the city please.

Anon - All major cities need a hospital, it's a fundamental need. If you take it away it should be renamed "Norfolk - a fine village". Most of the cities population will die.

GR Norwich - Keep it in Norwich. A matter of life and death.

RAC Lamas - Norwich Please!

PC Lamas - I agree.

LH Norwich - Definitely keep it in Norwich!

JJ Old Costessey - There must be a hospital in Norwich. Think about it guys it makes sense!!!

KS Hethersett - Norwich. Keep it!

GW Hethersett - Think about the weekends in the city. Too much to drink!

LR Norwich

SS Norwich - Definitely!

DG Norwich - Keep it in Norwich!

JS,EM,GM Norwich

AS - Keep it for the people of Norwich NOT the Tory scum at BUPA.

MS Norwich - Keep it where it belongs.

RD Spixworth

ME Barton Mills

GH Norwich

BRF Norwich - Have written to Westminster.

DP Hethersett

? Norwich

G NR7

SR Gorleston

GB Sprowston - The cost of transport for all of Norwich.

CF Wroxham - The people who made the decisions are car owners - not considering the many people without.

JMB Sprowston - Two buses instead of one wacko.

LB Norwich - Hospital needs to be accessible to all - patients, visitors and staff.

MMP Martham - Build an underground car park at the present site.

CJS Thurlton - I strongly disagree that hospital should be kept in Norwich as staff cannot even park there! It is the Norfolk and Norwich - to serve all the county not just Norwich.

KH Norwich - We need it in Norwich because it helps people. I am 15 years old. Keep it there!

SL Norwich - Keep our hospital here please.

DMT Norwich - People like me permanently on crutches are going to have to demand hospital transport to Colney, whereas I can make it to the N&N fairly easily under my own steam.

CKM Norwich

CH Norwich

AS Norwich - Being currently unemployed I think it is very bad idea to move it, as well as cost of transport to Colney.

PD Blofield Heath - Hospital must stay in city, easy access for all patients and visitors. Elderly people do not want or need an extra journey to obtain treatment.

Anon Norwich - Don't move it. It would be really hard to get to Colney.

CN Wymondham - Keep it where it is, it's a perfect site for those without cars - why move it?

AVP Hemblington - It makes sense to keep the hospital in the city centre where it is easily accessible for all.

DWP Hemblington - I can't see why it's got to be moved. It's worked out well where it is.

DW Norwich - Any money available should be spent on redevelopment of the present site.

RDF Norwich - Too far to travel for most people. I can't myself travel to Colney 3 times a week.

HH North Elmham - Leave it where it is.

JM Norwich - It belongs where it is.

EC Norwich - Ditto.

MS Sprowston

PR

ES Norwich

DH Thorpe - Norwich centre will have easier access for everyone in general. A new hospital is not needed especially on the green belt when the existing one in Norwich can be refurbished.

JAT North Walsham

BWS Worstead

BC Norwich - Leave it where it is.

F West Runton

RH Norwich - Leave it where it is.

JJH Hethersett - Access will be difficult from Colney.

RHQW Norwich - Keep hospital in city - ludicrous to think of Colney.

CR Norwich - Everyone has a right to easy access to the hospital. Keep the hospital in the city.

JdS Norwich - The centre of Norwich is the right place - easy access from all areas NSE&W and the county. Better for patients (what the hospital is for) and for the staff.

DKJ Norwich - If the hospital goes to Colney, for how long and by how much would transport from the city centre be subsidised. There is also more variety of access to the N&N site. A major accident on say the Watton Road would mean a long detour for any emergency service to get to Colney.

MC Norwich - To move the hospital out of Norwich is criminal. My daughter is partially sighted and deaf. I dread to think of the expense of bus fares. Why not spend the money on the perfectly good hospital we already have.

BP Norwich - I totally disagree with a private hospital outside at Colney in the inaccessible spot as a national guinea pig. The people of Norwich & Norfolk should be allowed to say where they want their hospital.

AM Norwich - As the present hospital is so easy to get to and convenient please leave it where it is.

ME Norwich - Loss of trade in the city from staff and visitors.

CH Norwich - Loss of employment?

PB Norwich - Loss of employment? Difficulty in reaching other site.

GE - Stop Norwich being little more than a shopping mall. Keep it a living city.

JFP Thorpe - We must keep the hospital at Norwich city centre. All the people that attend do not have cars. Keep the city alive.

NH Norwich - The facilities would be insufficient to service the needs on the Norwich and Norfolk population leading to sub-services.

DLR Norwich - Use your brains and keep the hospital in the city.

PFB Norwich - Buses from the country all come into Norwich.

VML Costessey - The hospital being so close and convenient saved my life! KEEP US ALL HAPPY.

Family C Norwich - Leave it alone!

JER Norwich - Think of the elderly. Leave it where it is.

MR Norwich - What a waste to move it to Colney.

DP Hethersett - Elderly cannot access the hospital at Colney so easily. Think about it.

Anon - "NO" it is the"Norfolk" & Norwich hospital.

MH - Keep open.

PL - Keep open.

RS - Leave N/N alone. Too much spent to close!

WDH Poringland - Rebuild if necessary on Nestlé site and use existing site for car park.

PB Norwich - Race Course Road Thorpe. Rebuild it!

JF Norwich - Leave it where it is - it is not old main block built in 70s.

AP - Leave the N&N hospital open you crapheads. I don't fancy having to travel half way across Norfolk if my neck's broken and my legs hanging off.

RS - Accessibility is vital.

MAA - Ditto.

HF - Leave it alone.

? - City centre for social and environmental reasons.

RA - Leave it where it is.

DO - Leave it in the city.

SS - Ditto.

LE - Ditto.

PG - Ditto.

RMC - Ditto.

SYW - Too far out at Colney.

JG - Keep it where I can get at it.

BL - No green field development please.

CMR,JJ,DJ,MU,SY - Leave it in the city Please.

RS Norwich - How can the local council be held responsible for private investment loss of contract clauses. What's happened to our vociferous local MPs. Concerned life long Labourite.

VC Norwich - Without transport hard to get to. Keep it in the city.

MG Norwich - Don't destroy countryside!

JC Norwich - Difficulty in visiting when time allows with children and no car.

KE New Costessey - Regular visitors to hospital as a diabetic. More convenient where it is.

AMD & MS - Keep in Norwich.

SH Mulbarton - Keep it in Norwich. Has just cost tax payers a fortune to revamp lots of N&N and build new ward areas etc. What a complete waste of money to move it!

EM Norwich - They should keep it in Norwich as it is near for all.

SA Norwich - Keep the hospital in Norwich.

Mr P - This hospital should be in Norwich. Ideal place.

CDC - Keep it local.

SB - As I live in South Norfolk, the hospital in Norwich is a great problem. A new site at Colney with adequate parking would be ideal. I have heard so many heart rending stories of older patients and their problems with parking that I say GO TO COLNEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

? - The hospital should stay in Norwich, we're the centre not Colney.

Anon - Where the **** is Colney?

Anon - I've worked as a nurse at the N&N for 17 years. The transport argument for staying on the present site is not a good one. An elderly person travelling in from the rural community by bus now has to walk up St Stephens, go through a sometimes threatening under pass and still has a further quarter mile to go. The Colney site would just mean finding the right bus stop and being dropped off at the front entrance.

LL - The car parking at the N&N is atrocious. I know this from experience from I visited my father and from when my parents visited me in the hospital. I can honestly say in that respect surely Colney would be better for parking. However the city should be the main stay as it is more accessible, transport wise. Most people could not afford to travel to Colney, it's hard enough for some to travel to the city! Instead renovations at the existing hospital would be money well spent.
Lastly as for people criticising the Labour MPs for not doing enough, surely they didn't think Labour would be any more use?
So if the MPs wont help then we as residents in Norwich and Norfolk should all put up a united front.

KA Norwich - My comments are that I think the N&N should stay exactly where it is because it is easy access for everyone to get to.

PR & J P-S - Keep it in central Norwich. The poor cannot afford to travel.

MAT - Keep it where the majority of the people live.

AK - Surely as the hospital has been completely refurbished it should stay exactly where it is. That expense is only justified if it is for long term only. The hospital at Colney should be DROPPED.

RS - If as the government maintains their aim is towards cost effectiveness why spend thousands, rather waste thousands, of pounds on refurbishing the N&N at Brunswick Road.

MF - Please keep our hospital in the city. We don't all have cars or can drive.

GA - It is near and easy in the city.

LW Norwich - Helps citizens, saves countryside.

DS Norwich - City centre hospital is common sense.

CH Mulbarton - Rebuild on existing site. Use ex-Nestlé site too.

JG Norwich

E Norwich - Keep green fields GREEN!!!

RK Norwich

VC Norwich - Remember your promise Mr Blair to listen to the people.

MG Sprowston - City needs hospital - to generate trade.

MS Sprowston - Public transport access must be considered to warrant retaining city centre location.

AR Norwich - We need it in city.

MB Kings Lynn

CC Thorpe Marriott - Why change a formula that has worked well for so long.

EA & CA T Norwich - Keep it in the city for ease of access.

GS Norwich

JF Loddon

LMF Wroxham - It's needed in the city for easy access.

KF Loddon - Ditto.

Anon - I think that the hospital should definitely stay because the next nearest to that is Yarmouth (for example). My Nanna is a diabetic and sometimes feels extremely ill, she even has to go straight to hospital and if it wasn't there Yarmouth would be a fair distance for an OAP to travel. There are lots of emergencies every day in Norwich and without a hospital in Norwich there probably would be more deaths. if you LABOUR want to take this hospital away from the people in Norwich you will be known as a murderer. So please don't do it.

? Hoveton - Why no pathology, and other support services? We have these at the present site - so keep our hospital in the centre of town, with all support services.

SO - Sort it out.
MW - Keep it in Norwich.

SR - Ditto.

?,?,? - Not having it?

MS - Common sense should prevail.

ST Norwich - How are we supposed to get there?

SS Norwich - Accessibility.

JP - Keep it in Norwich.

AC Frettenham - Do the hospital staff support "Keep in Norwich"? I'm not convinced by exhibition. As patient or visitor I'd prefer Colney.

LAC - N&N plus Colney.

MMC - We need a hospital in Norwich that is accessible to all.

VMS - Will do more harm than good if moved out of city.

AMW and PDW Surlingham

FAW - Crazy idea.

RB - Keep it in Norwich.

PEB - Norwich needs it!

MAC - Keep in Norwich - accessible without cars.

PJC - Keep it within the city.

SH - Must be kept in the city.

MGR - I don't agree with the underhand way this has been dealt with. People's rights have not been considered.

Mr & Mrs JS - Have the ones at the top thought of the elderly. We want it kept in Norwich.

RDH - Please don't move our hospital.

CA - Transport is difficult enough from outlying villages as it is, it will be almost impossible if it moves.

Mrs A Norwich - A city hospital should remain in the city - accessible to all. Not just made easy for doctors to hop across the field to BUPA perhaps!!

GW - Stay where it is.

RW - Forget the "fat cats", look after the people!

MBH - Elderly and ? will be unable to get transport + consultants will be paid a NHS salary but doing private work in NHS time!

GR - Norwich without the N&N hospital is not Norwich.

Mr & Mrs K Catton - The hospital should remain in the city as it is close to transport ie railway station, bus station, shops for patients, visitors and staff. Not enough beds at new hospital. Norwich should not have the only PFI funded hospital in the country. The staff prefer to keep the hospital where it is, central to Norfolk. Lives depend on a central A&E department.

DW Norwich - Putting the hospital out at Colney is a bad move and is against all present planning guidelines. Good luck with the campaign - I'm with you.

SM Newton Flotman - Our hospital, our money, our decision.

PAW - Difficult for me to get there ...
